Law Library

The Elko County Law Library is located within the Reference Department of Elko County Library. It provides access to legal information for library patrons and legal professionals. Assistance is available in person, via our Questions and Feedback Form, or over the phone at 775-753-4609. The law library has resources in print, on the web, and through the LexisNexis database.

Hours

The Law Library Assistant is currently available during these hours:

  • Monday
    9 am to 1 pm
  • Tuesday through Thursday
    11 am to 3 pm
  • Friday
    Noon to 3 pm

Access to the law collection, resources, and other staff assistance is available whenever the Elko County Library is open.

By law, the Elko County Law Library cannot provide legal advice or counsel, interpretations, or provide assistance in filling out legal forms. Patrons should seek professional legal assistance for these services.

Resources

The Nevada Revised Statutes is available in print at the law library. This and other state resources may also be found online.

LexisNexis is a fully-searchable database with access to full-text cases, statutes, law review articles, and many other materials relating to law. The Law Library Assistant, Reference Librarian or other library staff member must be consulted to use this resource.
